Howard Leroy Forrest 2002 Halifax Chronicle Herald Howard Leroy Forrest, 79, Harmony Mills, died Tuesday, February 12, 2002, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born at West Caledonia, he was a son of the late Gordon and Lillian (Carver) Forrest. He was a truck driver for fifty years with Bowater Mersey. Upon his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his oxen. He is survived by his companion, Ida taylor, Harmony Mills; sons, Larry (Dale), Pleasant River; Ray (Cindy), Caledonia; grandchildren, Sally, Kristina, Travis, Brandon, Nathan; sisters, Joan (Stanley) Canning and Lulubelle (Vincent) Rice, both of Bridgewater; brother, Ronald (Velda), New Grafton several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Kay Forrest, Toronto. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Mae Canning; sister, Thelma; brother, Jordan. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 16, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Jerome's Catholic Church, West Caledonia, Father Donald McLeod officiating. Burial will be in St. Jerome's Cemtery, West Caledonia. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Maritime Ox Association or North Queens Fire Association.
