Royal Ivan Woodworth 2000 Halifax Chronicle Herald Royal Ivan Woodworth, 64, Granville Beach, Annapolis County, died August 23, 2000, at home. Born at Bear River, he was a son of the late Ivan and Dorothy (Snyder) Woodworth. His long time love of horses kept him very active in the equine sport. A breeder of Appaloosa horses led him to become the president of the Maritime Appaloosa Horse Club for several years. In more recent yeras, he was an active member of the Atlantic Hackery Association. In his earlier years he was involved with the 4H Club. He is survived by daughters, Beth (Kevin) O'Leary, West Lawrencetown; Jody (Keith ) Fisher, Lake Echo; grandchildren, Dillon O'Leary, Chad, Logan, and Jennifer Fisher; sister, Ruth Darres, Digby; estranged wife, Susan; a niece and a nephew. He was predeceased by his wife, Theta (Winchester) Woodworth and a sister, Frances Britten. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday from St. George and St. Andrew's United Church, Annapolis Royal, Rev. James MacIntosh officiating. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Lequille. Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday until time of service at the church. Family flowers only.
