Mrs. Joseph Hyson 1963 Bridgewater Bulletin After a lengthy illness, Mrs. Cassandra Hyson, beloved wife of Joseph P. Hyson, passed away peacefully at her home in Mahone Bay on October 24, 1963, at 90 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Captain and Mrs. Frederick Zwicker, Indian Point. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Carl, Brockton, Mass.; and Harold, Halifax; two daughters, Hazel (Mrs. Eldred Rafuse), Mahone Bay; and Ethel (Mrs. Harold Simson), Halifax. A son, Murray and a daughter, Pearl (Mrs. Cyril Pothier) predeceased her. A sister, Mrs. Clifford King, Indian Point, also survives. There are 14 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on October 26, 1963, at 2:30 p.m. from St. John's Lutheran Church. Interment was in Park Cemetery with Pastor Keith Crouse officiating. Pall bearers were members of the church council, Merrill Ernst, Brenton Lantz, Sydney Sawler, and Gilbert Wentzell.
