Bertie Wilbert Ernst 1981 Bridgewater Bulletin Bertie Wilbert Ernst, 86, of Springfield, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 18, 1981, at home. Born at New Cornwall on December 10, 1895, he was the son of Cornelius and Leah (Joudrey) Ernst. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret (Doberty) Ernst; three brothers, Freeman, Kenneth, and George; and one sister, Mary Jane. Surviving are three sisters, Sylvie (Mrs. aubrey Woodworth), North Billerica, Mass.; Eveline (Mrs. Dean Lohnes), Somerville, Mass.; Hilda (Mrs. Lester Ramey), Natick, Mass.; and oen brother, Howard, Peabody, Mass. Mr.Ernest moved from Cherryfield, Annapolis County to the United States in 1924 and returned to Nova Scotia in 1967.
