Lillian Lavine Brady 1999 Halifax Chronicle Herald Lillian Lavine Brady died peacefully April 21, 1999, in the South Shore Regional Hopsital, Bridgewater. Born at Baker Settlement, she was a daughter of the late Florence (Fancy) Woodworth and Charles Woodworth. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harry. she is survived by, much loved and missed by son, John; daughter, Mary Ann and husband Mike Gibbons, London, Ontario; adored by her grandchildren, Andy (Lori), London; Casey, Toronto; Jennifer, Jillian, and Matthew, Bridgewater. Sadly missed by only sister, Edith (Mrs. Harry Pernette); nephew, Robert (Shirley) Pernette; niece,Sheila (Reg) Goldsmith; uncles, Dana Fancy (Beatrice), Auburndale; Russell Fancy, Worcester, Mass.; and aunt, Margaret Lucas, Calgary; along with many dear friends. She will be remembered for her lifelong contributions to St. Paul's Lutheran Church on the altar guild, as a Sunday School teacher, longtime choir member, past president and active member of the East Side Ladies Aid. In addition, she held a lifetime interest in the Bridgewater Curling Club as both a curler and social convener. Lillian spent many years as organizer of the hospital gift shop volunteers. She was a vice-president of H.W. Brady Limited and a former ballroom dancing teacher and a Brownie leader. Visitation will be at Sweeny's Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, on Friday,April 23, from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Service will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, in st. Paul's Lutheran Church. Interment at Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
