Annie Aulenback 1914 Progress Enterprise Published: December 16, 1914. On Monday evening, December 7, there passed peacefully away to her reward, Annie Aulenback, the beloved wife of Matthias Aulenback of Farmville. Mrs. Aulenback was in her 77th. year. She was visiting at the home of a neighbour on Sunday, November 29th., and in the evening complained of a chill; this developed into pneumonia from which she died. She was a kindly soul, greatly beloved and full of good deeds. She leaves to mourn a husband and three sisters and a host of friends. The funeral took place on Thursday, December 10th. She was a consistent member of the Baptist Church and her pastor, Rev. B.D. Knott, conducted the funeral service. A large number gathered to pay their last respects to one whom they held in high esteem. The interment was in the Farmville Cemetery. The sympathy of the community goes out to the sorrowing husband and relatives.
