Marion Elsie Veno 2001 Halifax Chronicle Herald Marion Elsie Veno, 80, Moncton, formerly of Halifax, died December 10, 2001, in the Moncton City Hospital. Born at Baker Settlement, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Amy Norwood. Prior to living in Moncton for the past eight years with her son and family, she resided in Halifax. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Marnie; granddaughter, Melanie, Moncton; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Orest Sine, granddaughter, Stephanie, Calgary; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, Hazen; five brothers and four sisters. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, both in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, Rev. James Slack Sr. officiating. Burial in Baker Settlement Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Atlantic Division or any charity. She was long be remembered for her wonderful sense of humour and her great capacity to love.
