OBIT # 5169 - EASTERN CHRONICLE, NEW GLASGOW,NS: - Thursday, 26 February, 1948: STELLARTON- HARRY S. CUTTEN, former Mayor and prominent citizen of Stellarton, passed away at his residence, Acadia Avenue, at the age of 83 years. The late Mr.Cutten was Mayor of the Town of Stellarton in 1932 and 1933. He was the senior elder of Sharon St. John United Church. About 18 years ago he retired on pension after over 40 years faithful service with the C.N.R., New Glasgow Division. He was locomotive engineer on the Stellarton yard shunter. He was a keen sports enthusiast. He leaves to mourn his wife, one daughter, (KATHERINE) Mrs.Edwin W. MacDonald of Pictou; one step-daughter, (MARIE )Mrs. Cotingham; four sons, CECIL, GEORGE of Quebec; JACK, Providence, R.I.; and WILLIAM COLEN, South America. The funeral took place Monday at 2:30 o'clock with services at Sharon St. John United Church.
