John William Hirtle 1998 Halifax Chronicle Herald John William Hirtle, 23, Bush Island, died February 9, 1998, near New Glasgow, as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Born at Bridgewater, he was a son of David and Susan (Amero) Hirtle. Surviving are a sister, Stephanie Jane, Bush Island; maternal grandparents, Archibald and Mildred Bush, Bush Island; paternal grandfather, Harry W. Hirtle and companion, Audrey Ostebo, Dublin Shore; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by maternal grandfather, Herman Joseph Amero; paternal grandmother, Daisy Evangeline Hirtle. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Sweeny's Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater. Funeral 2 p.m. Friday in Knox Presbyterian Church, Dublin Shore, Rev. Laurence Mawhinney officiating. Burial in Peaceful Hill Cemetery, West Dublin.
