St.Clair William Veinotte 1997 Halifax Chronicle Herald St.Clair William Veinotte, 74, Berwick, died July 30, 1997, in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born at Newburne, he was a son of the late Willard James and Winnie Idella (Langille) Veinotte. He moved from Lunenburg to Berwick in 1953 and owned and operated S.W. Veinotte Superette in Berwick, which later became Veinotte's Riteway. In 1966, he opened a second Riteway store in Waterville and retired in 1975. He was formerly a member of the Berwick Lions Club and Berwick Curling Club. Surviving are sons, Sheldon, Berwick; Laurie, Kingston; stepsons, Roy Edward Muise, Halifax; Patrick Arthur Muise, Toronto; stepdaughters, Elizabeth Jean Muise, Victoria, B.C.; Anne Marie Muise-Usher, Greenwood; brother, Cecil Vernon, Second Peninsula; sister, Winnie Idella Falkenham, Northwest; three grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Jean (Beardsley) Muise-Veinotte; a daughter in infancy. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 2 p.m. Friday, both in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Berwick, Rev. Gordon Redden officiating. Burial in Berwick Cemetery. Donations to Grand View Manor or Canadian Cancer Society.
