D. Stewart Hebb 2003 Halifax Chronicle Herald D. Stewart Hebb, 94, Hebbville, died May 27, 2003, at home. Born at Hebbville, he was a son of the late Howard and Mary (Croft) Hebb. He was the owner of Stewart Hebb's Greenhouses for 40 years, retiring three years ago. He was an avid hunter. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, the former Ruth Baker; daughters, Dianne (James) Cook, Cookville; Mary Ann (Gary) Bushen, Pinehurst; Lucy Hebb,Conquerall Mills; sons, Rickey (Cathy)Stewart, "Bubby" (Marcia), all of Conquerall Mills; Billy (Carla), Italy Cross; sister-in-law, Mabel Hebb, Hebbville; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Gordon, Lawrence, two in infancy; sisters, Beatrice Hebb, one in infancy. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral service 1:30 p.m. Friday, both in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, Rev. Quincy Collins officiating. Burial in Hebbville Cemetery. Family flowers only.
