    3. OBIT # 5071 - EASTERN CHRONICLE - 26 AUGUST 1935 MISS ANNIE CUMMING- There died at the home of her niece, Mrs.JOHN ARCHIBALD, Truro, on Sunday. August 11th, ANNIE CUMMING, the last surviving daughter of the late JAMES CUMMING and JANE ROSS of Sunny Brae at the advanced age of 93 years. In full possession of her faculties Miss Cumming was bright and interesting and was able to repeat the whole of the 19th Psalm a fortnight before her death. Her father attended the First General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church which was held in Ottawa, as Commissioner and Ruling Elder for Pictou County. Another daughter was the late Mrs.J.C.MacDONALD of New Glasgow. Resident in New Glasgow are Mr. J.W.C. MacDONALD; his sister, Miss HANNAH MacDONALD and Miss HANNAH SUTHERLAND, nephews and nieces. During her last illness she was tenderly cared for by another niece, Mrs. ARCHIBALD of Truro with whom the deceased made her home. After the death of her parents Miss Cumming lived out west for several years before returning to Truro. She was a woman of fine attainments, sterling Christian character and much beloved not only in family circle but by her many friends and was always a faithful worker in the Presbyterian Church of which she was a life member. After a short service at her home in Truro, the remains were brought to Sunny Brae and a service conducted by Rev. Mr. Brown, assisted by Rev. Mr. Irving of the United Church, was held in the Presbyterian Church. Interment being made at Sunny Brae.
