James Densmore Harpell 1998 Halifax Chronicle Herald James Densmore Harpell, 70, Northwest, died Tuesday, April 28, 1998, in Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born at Harpellville, he was a son of the late Spencer and Olive (Keizer) Harpell. He worked for many years until retirement for the Department of Fisheries as second engineer on the Canadian Coast Guard Ship, chebucto. He was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Lunenburg. He is survived by his wife, the former Cathryn Murphy; daughter, Patty Harpell, Dartmouth; son, Jame H. and wife Linda, Northwest; sisters, Joy Gagnon, Freda Keizer, Port Bickerton; Faye Crawford, Dartmouth; brothers, Malcolm, Harpellville; Robert, Port Bickerton; grandchildren, Stephen and Kristy Creaser, Belinda Steward, and Karen Harpell; great-grandchild, Kaitlyn. He was predeceased by brother, Ross. Graveside and committal service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Martin's Brook Cemetery, Martin's Brook, Rev. Laurence Mawhinney officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church Stained Glass Fund or Atlantic Mission Society. Arrangements entrusted to Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg.
