UNKNOWN PAPER - 1977 HARVEY FREEMAN SHEARER, 62, of Lawrencetown, died Friday in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. Born in Paradise, Annapolis County, he was the son of the late Hamilton and Myrtle (MITCHELL) SHEARER. He was a veteran of the Second World War and a member of the Lawrencetown branch of the Royal Canadian Legion and a member of the Valley Lodge number 153, IOOF, and Valley Rose Rebecca Lodge of Lawrencetown. He is survived by his wife, the former Etta WHITMAN; six sons, Gordon, Winnipeg; William and Wayne, both of Angus, Ont.; Jack, Lawrencetown; Gary, Camp Borden, Ont.; and Paul, Hampton, Annapolis County; four daughters, Shirley (Mrs. Bruce LANGILLE), Halifax; Annette (Mrs. Ronald DUMBRELL), Cambridge, Ont.; Susan (Mrs. Donald SMITH) and Norma (Mrs. Richard TAYLOR) both of Lawrencetown; a sister, Goldie (Mrs. Wallace ELLIS) Bridgetown and 23 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Beatrice. The body is at the Robert L. Hall Funeral Home, Bridgetown. Funeral service will be held Monday at 2p.m. in the Lawrencetown United Church, Rev. S.G.WALLS officiating assisted by Rev. Herman SPINNEY. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery, Lawrencetown.
