UNKNOWN PAPER - 15 MARCH 1917 MRS. JOHN URQUHART - There passed away at her home, Waugh's River, Colchester County, Monday morning, March 12th, 1917 a grand woman, Mrs. URQUHART, wife of John URQUHART, a leading citizen of that place. She had not been long ill, the best medical aid was hers, in fact all that loving hands could do for her was done, but the span of life, as measured by the material, was spun, and she peacefully passed to her rest with that calm peacefulness characteristic of her weeks of illness. She was a devout communicant of the Presbyterian church, a loving wife, fond mother, and kind neighbor. What greater heritage could she have left husband, family and friends? A beloved sister, Mrs. William G. FRASER, Truro, predeceased her by about three months. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald McLEOD, of Waugh's River, and spent all her long, useful life, 73 years in the home district. In her immediate family, she is survived, in addition to her husband, by two daughters and three sons. The daughters are Mrs. John SUTHERLAND and Mrs. W.A. MATHESON, Vancouver, B.C. and the sons, M.L. URQUHART, Truro; Daniel in the Yukon and James in Seattle. The funeral took place yesterday in the Waugh's River Cemetery. The sun joins with a host of friends in extending sympathy to the bereaved ones.
