Ronald Nelson Parks 1992 Bridgewater Bulletin Ronald Nelson Parks, 73, of Petite Riviere, passed away Saturday, December 12, 1992, at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born at Petite Riviere, he was the son of the late William D. and Mildred M. (Reinhardt) Parks. He was a veteran of the Second World War, and a member of Local 83, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America since 1949. He apprenticed and was employed by MacDonald Construction Co. Ltd. and later with Standard Construction Co. Ltd. until retiring in 1984. He resided in Timberlea until moving to Petite Riviere in 1990. He is survived by his wife, the former Freda Tays; daughter, Sally Anne, Halifax; brother, Dr. Malcolm G. Parks, Petite rRviere; nephew, Drew A. Parks, Purcell's Cove; nieces, Charlotte (Mrs. Stephen McShane), Dartmouth; Catherine (Mrs. John Bell), Petite Riviere; Eleanor (Mrs. James Sullivan), Williamswood, Halifax. The body was cremated under the direction of Sweeny's Funeral Home. A memorial service was held in Sweeny's Funeral Chapel, December 16, 1992, Rev. Charlotte Youland officiating at the United Church, Petite Riviere. Burial was in the United Church Cemetery, Petite Riviere.
