Mrs. Solomon Zinck 1948 Death came peacefully to Mary Zinck, widow of Solomon Zinck, of Rose Bay at her home February 29. She had been in failing health for several months, but her passing was not expected so soon. She was in her 86th. year and was born at Rose Bay, where she spent her entire life, a daughter of the late John and Mary Ann (Mosher) Wentzell and she was the last member of that family. She was a faithful member of St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church and until a few months ago, she never failed to attend divine worship each Sunday. She was a life member of the Women's M.S., a member of the Ladies Aid, and always took a prominent part in all activities of the church. Mrs. Zinck had no family; her husband predeceased her about thirteen years ago. A step-brother, Freeman Wentzell, survives; two nephews, Otto and Perry Zinck; and a number of nieces and nephews in the United States; also a host of friends mourn their loss. Two sisters, Minnie, Mrs. Sylvanus Zinck, of Rose Bay and Lizzie, Mrs. Solomon Corkum, of Middle LaHave, later of the United States, predeceased her. Funeral services were held from her church on Tuesday afternoon and were conducted by her pastor, Rev. A.L. Conrad. Interment was at Harbour View Cemetery, Rose Bay.
