Sgt. William Stedman Jodrey 1946 Bridgewater Bulletin (Write-up is not complete.) An impressive service was held at the United Church, West Northfield, Sunday afternoon, June 8th., conducted by Rev. W.H. Palmer, pastor of the United Church of Canada, when a memorial tablet to the memory of Sgt. William Stedman, was unveiled. Sgt. Jodrey enlisted for service in September, 1939, serving in the West Nova Scotia Regiment. He was killed in Italy by a bursting shell on May 23rd., 1944. Tribute was paid to the life and service of Sgt. Jodrey by the pastor, who spoke from the text,"I am ready." Members of the Bridgewater Legion were present. The plaque was unveiled by Sgt.
