    3. OBIT # 5225 - EASTERN CHRONICLE - 28 DECEMBER 1944 STELLARTON A well known and prominent citizen of Stellarton passed away Saturday in the person of DUNCAN J. FRASER. The late Mr.Fraser was born at MacLennan's Mountain, Pictou County, 70 years ago. He had been ill for about six months. Mr.Fraser entered the employ of the C.N.R. 40 years ago and worked in the Stellarton yard as a car inspector and was considered an expert railway man. The last few years before he took the pension, he was charge hand of the car inspectors in the yard. He was a member for a good many years of Fuller I.O.O.F. Lodge No.5, Stellarton; also a member of the B.R.C. of A.. He was a strong Presbyterain in religion and a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton, and a member of the church choir. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, CHRISSIE, of Boston,Mass; one sister, Mrs.JOHN MacGREGOR, Sunny Brae; and one brother, JOHN A., of Sydney. The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton, Rev.Murray Y. Fraser , his pastor, conducting the service. Burial was at MacLennan's Mountain cemetery.
