    3. OBIT # 5265 - EASTERN CHRONICLE - 22 MAR 1939 EAST RIVER, St. Mary's This community was deeply moved and saddened on hearing of the sudden passing of MRS.CHESTER GUNN. Mrs. Gunn had been in poor health for the past eight years and while gradually weakening her condition was not critical. She contracted influenza Friday evening and passed away Sunday afternoon, March 19. Mrs. Gunn, nee MYRTLE ALMA TATE, was born 44 years ago in Aspen (Guysborough County) and, except for a period of seven years before her marriage, had spent all her life in this province. Her home was always filled with the cheerful voices of children and all who entered felt the Christian atmosphere that pervaded the place. Mrs. Gunn was a devout Christian and a member of the Presbyterian Church of which her husband is an elder. Before her illness she was a regular attendant at the services and an active member of the W.M.S. The sympathy of the community goes out to her husband, CHESTER GUNN, and their five children, FRANCES, RUTH, ETHEL, EDITH and JAMES. She is also survived by her mother MRS. MASON and a brother, WILLIAM of East River St. Mary's and two sisters, MRS. ISSAC McKEEN, of Aspen and MRS. J. G. SANGER of Lowell, Mass. The funeral service was held from the Presbyterian Church Tuesday afternoon and was conducted by her pastor, Rev. Frank Lawrence
