Melvin Gerald Hebb 1956 Bridgewater Bulletin There passed away at the Nova Scotia Sanitorium, Kentville, at an early hour on Saturay September 22nd., Melvin Gerald Hebb, at the age of 44 years. His sudden passing came as a great shock to those who held him dear, for although he had been in failing health for some time of late, there had been a marked improvement. Born at Hebb's Cross, he was a son of Mrs. Milledge Hebb and the late Mr. Hebb. Besides his mother, he leaves to mourn his loss a brother, Clayton. A sister, Lela, predeceased him. Funeral services were held from St. James Anglican Church, Conquerall Mills on Monday, September 24th, with Rev. G.W. Meade of Fairview officiating clergyman. Hymns sung were "Safe in the Arms of Jesus," "The Old Rugged Cross," and "Nearer, My God, to Thee." Pall bearers were Carmen Hebb, Owen Nowe, Stanford Himmelman, and Arnold Nowe. Burial was in St. James Cemetery, Conquerall Mills.
