    3. OBIT # 5310 - EASTERN CHRONICLE - 28 NOV 1930 GIDDINGS, Florence - Following an illness extending over a period of several months, a young life of great promise was brought to a close on Friday, November 21st, when death entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. WILLIAM GIDDINGS, Aberdeen Avenue, and removed there from their eldest daughter, FLORENCE, at the age of twenty-nine years. Although suffering acutely at times, she was never heard to complain, but bore her suffering with remarkable patience and courage. Everything possible that tender care and nursing could do to prolong her life, was done, but her God she loved so well had need of this pure sweet flower in His garden, and surrounded by her sorrowing family she peacefully passed away to meet "Him", whom her soul loved. Since coming to Trenton from Murray River, Prince Edward Island, some ten years ago, the late Miss Giddings made many close friends who mourn her early demise. A member of Trenton United Church, she was when health permitted, a faithful attendant, and took a deep interest in all the work of the Church, particularly in the Ladies Aid, where she will be much missed. In the home she was a devoted daughter and sister and her greater happiness was in ministering to the care of her loved ones. The funeral service was held on Sunday afternoon and was conducted by her pastor, Rev. P.C. Lewis, assisted by the members of the Choir whose singing of the favorite hymns of the deceased was very touching. Particularly so was the solo sung by Miss DAISY STRICTLAND, which was most feelingly rendered. On Monday the remains were taken to Murray River where interment takes place. The grief stricken parents , sister and brother have the sympathy of the whole community in their bereavement.
