    3. OBIT # 5390 - EVENING NEWS - 15 JUNE 1953 Westville- Old friends here learned with regret of the recent passing of MRS. J. C. MacDONALD in Edmonton. She was a widow of the late DR. J CLYDE MacDONALD, who once practised medicine here before going west. Mrs. MacDonald was in her eighty-third year and is survived by a daughter, Mrs. K. C. MacLEOD of Grimshaw; three sons, Major P. S. MacDONALD of Vallejo, Calif; Ald. J. C. MacDONALD and C. A. MacDONALD, both of Edmonton; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. During the years following the First World War, Mrs. MacDonald served as President of the Children's Aid Society when the home for underpriviledged children was built. She was active in the IODE, the First Baptist Church Women's Auxiliary, the Women's Conservative Club. She and Mr.MacDonald moved to Edmonton in 1912; he died in 1938.
