UNKNOWN PAPER - 30 JULY 1949 BLANCHE WEATHERBEE - Wentworth - The sudden passing of Mrs. (nee Blanche THOMPSON) WEATHERBEE occurred at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, July 22, after a prolonged illness. Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Cecil Sheldon and granddaughter, Anne, at home, one brother, Allen THOMPSON, U.S.A., and a number of nieces and nephews in Nova Scotia and New York. Funeral services were largely attended, and held at the Centre United Church and conducted by Rev. Mr. STEWART and Mr. McLEAN. The floral offerings were beautiful and numerous. This gracious lady added much to the welfare of this community by her Christian exemplary life, including a period of almost a half century as a Christian Church organist.
