Harold W. Brady 1974 Bridgewater Bulletin Harold Whitman Brady, 64, owner and president of H.W. Brady Limited, died Monday in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. Born at Worcester, Mass., he was the son of the late Whitman and Mary Brady. He came to Italy Cross at an early age, receiving his early education in Bridgewater. He was successful in obtaining a diploma in architecture and business management by correspondence. He was manager of Telfer and Crowe Woodworkers prior to purchasing the business in 1942, changing the name to H.W. Brady Limited and Brady Timber Company Limited. A past chairman of the industrial commission, now the Bridgewater Development Commission, he was a member of the advisory board of Central and Nova Scotia Trust, member of the Bridgewater Chamber of Commerce, Anglican Church, I.O.O.F. Lodge, and the Curling Club. Surviving are his wife, the former Lillian Woodworth; a son, John, Bridgewater; a daughter, Mary Ann (Mrs. Michael Gibbons), Greenwood; two sisters, Aileen (Mrs. Russell Salter), Bradenton, Florida; Joe (Mrs. Leon Bolivar), Worcester, Mass.; a half-sister, Olive (Mrs. J.H. Bartholmew), Middleton, Conn.; two grandsons. Funeral service was held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Rev. Ronald Harris and Rev. Wilfred Myra officiating. Interment in Brookside Cemetery.
