Kerry Arthur Oxner 1992 Halifax Chronicle Herald Kerry Arthur Oxner, 70, New York, formerly of Lilydale, Lunenburg County, died December 29, 1992, in New York. Born at Mahone Bay, he was a son of the late Arthur and Margaret (Joudrey) Oxner. In his earlier years, he worked as a blacksmith with Lunenburg Foundry and Engineering. He later moved to New York whre he waorked as a machinst with Columbia University. He served with the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War. He is survived by his wife, Martha; son, Wayne, Lilydale; daughter, Margaret, Montreal; stepsister, Mrs. Lorna Hirtle, Bridgewater; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Edward, stepbrother, Lavenis. Funeral and burial were held January 2, in New York. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or any charity.
