Edward Morgan, Esquire 1891 Lunenburg Progress Published: March 18, 1891. After a few days illness, Edward Morgan, Esquire, died at his home, New Germany on Monday morning last. The deceased was among the prominent landmarks of this county. He came from Annapolis with his father when a boy of fifteen, settled at New Germany about 1830 and was consquently among the first settlers. He filled the office of Justice of the Peace over forty years, was a striking figure in the old court of sessions up to the hour of its abolition and was a candidate in five elections for a seat at the municipal council board. He was a merchant, farmer, Methodist, and a Liberal. An aged widow and seven grown up children remain behind to mourn the loss of a kind father and husband who died at the age of 75 years.
