UNKNOWN PAPER - 22 DECEMBER 1950 WILLIAM BAILEY - Tatamagouche Mountain - There passed away at his home on Saturday morning Dec. 16th, William BAILEY at the age of 88 years. Mr. BAILEY had been in failing health for the past few years, yet was able to be about most of the time, until he suffered a paralytic stroke four days previous to his death. Mr. Bailey was tenderly cared for, by his son Elmon and wife. A daughter, Mrs. Leslie LANGILLE of Brule was with her father during his last illness. The other daughters Isabel, Mabel and Christine live in the United States. These along with five granddaughters, Irene, Lena, Velma, Joyce LANGILLE and Grace BAILEY mourn the loss of a kindly and loving father and grandfather. The funeral took place on Monday at 2 p.m. from the home and was largely attended. Rev. R. WAGNER of New Annan officiated. Hymns sung were "The Lord's My Shepherd", "What a Friend we Have in Jesus" and "Abide With Me." Interment was at The Falls Cemetery. The pall bearers were Hughie and Gordon BAILEY, Aubrey TUCKER and Hugh LYNCH.
