Mrs. Hiram Oxner January, 1940. Bridgewater Bulletin LaHave, January 29- The death of Mrs. Hiram Oxner occurred at her home here on Thursday morning, following a heart attack. Her husband, Captain Oxner, passed away at LaHave thirteen years ago. She is survived by a daughter, Ethel (Mrs. George Annand), LaHave and one granddaughter, Jean Annand. Two daughters died in infancy and a daughter, Lily, passed away in early childhood. Mrs. Oxner who was in her 73rd. year was the former Miss Harriet Perelina (Linia) Parks, the eldest daughter of the late Lewis and Catherine (Wamback) Parks and was born at East LaHave. Brothers surviving are Captain Milledge J. Parks of LaHave; Hugh Parks of Middle LaHave; Captain Almon Parks of LaHave; and a sister, Lily (Mrs. Albert Wing), of East Lynn, Mass. She was predeceased by five brothers and three sisters, Rufus Parks, Albert, Freeman, Robie, and Archibald of East LaHave; and Bessie (Mrs. Spindler), of Rose Bay; Emily (Mrs. George Conrad), East LaHave; and Jessie (Mrs. James Getson), LaHave. The funeral service took place from the home of the deceased on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. J.L. Lund, pastor of the LaHave United Church officiating. Interment was made in Fort Point Cemetery and acting as pall bearers were Josiah Pernette, Alan Creaser, Ernest Himmelman, James creaser, Harry Pernette, and John Pernette.
