Vernon Owen Wentzell 2001 Halifax Chronicle Herald Vernon Owen Wentzell, 88, Midville Branch, passed away November 6, 2001, in Mahone Nursing Home, Mahone Bay. Born at Midville Branch, he was a son of the late Albert and Jessie (Snyder) Wentzell. Surviving are sons, Roger (Sheila), Hemford; Rex (Sharon), Riverport; John, Midville Branch; daughters, Carol Weagle, Newburne; Vera Oickle, Deborah (Avard) Foster, both of Midville Branch; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Doran (Grace), Martin's Point; Foster. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen(Sperry); son, Medford; daughter, Marguerite Poirier; sisters, Gladys, Marguerite, Alda; brother, Charles; grandsons, Monte, Michael; great-granddaughter, Ginger. Visitation 3-4 p.m. 7-9 p.m. today in Sweeny's Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. Dr. Thomas Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Pine Cemetery, Upper Branch. No flowers by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of your choice through the funeral home.
