UNKNOWN PAPER - 14 JULY 1954 CHRISTINE MARGARET FERGUSON - Tatamagouche - This community and various other districts were saddened to learn of the sudden death of Christine Margaret FERGUSON, which occurred at her home on Tuesday, June 29, following a brief illness. Deceased was 57 years of age, and was a daughter of the late George and Christine MacKAY BAILLIE, West Branch. She was a registered nurse, a graduate of Victoria General School for Nursing in 1923, and a faithful member of Sharon United Church, Tatamagouche. The funeral service, which was largely attended, was held from her late residence, and was conducted by Rev. R.L. WAGNER of the United Church, West New Annan. Favorite hymns, led by Sharon choir were sung, "The Lord is My Shepherd," "There Is a Green Hill Far Away," and "Abide With Me." Surviving besides her husband, are three sons, Harold of Hamilton, Ontario; Baillie at home; James a graduate of University of California, residing in San Francisco; one daughter, Isabel, a graduate of Mount Allison University, at home. Another daughter pre-deceased her in infancy; two brothers, James of San Francisco; Daniel of Westville; and one sister, Barbara, (Mrs. John A. MacKENZIE) San Francisco. The floral tributes were many and beautiful, testifying to the esteem in which Mrs. Ferguson was held. Pallbearers were, Murray GUNN, Murray MacCARA, Livingstone FERGUSON, Allister FERGUSON, Gilmore MacLELLAN, all nephews and Charles LANGILLE, a neighbor. Interment was in the family plot in Sunnyside Cemetery at Lockerby's.
