C. Evelyn Irving 2000 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Gwen Chrisite C. Evelyn Irving, Bedford, died January 14, 2000, in Fairview Villa. Born at Medford, Kings County, she was a daughter of the late James and Rachael (Barkhouse) Burns. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are daughters, Joan Higgs, Lower Sackville; Gwen Wentzell, Halifax; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Garfield Earl; brothers, Arthur, Alfred, Frederick, and Oscar; sisters, Edith, Lucy, and Rita. Visitation 7-9 p.m., Sunday in T.K. Barnard Funeral Home, Bedford Highway. Funeral service 2 p.m. Monday, in the funeral home, Rev. David Hart officiating. Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Donations to Bedford United Church.
