UNKNOWN PAPER - 28 DECEMBER 1954 TRUEMAN MCROBERTS MCCULLY - The many friends of Trueman McRoberts McCULLY of Debert, were grieved and shocked to learn of his sudden passing in his sleep about midnight Monday, December 2, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Peter HYNDS, R.R. No. 1 Tatamagouche. He had not been in good health for some time, but his passing was quite unexpected. He was born in Debert in the year 1872, the son of James M. and Rachall McCULLY. He was twice married, his first wife being the former Emma HENRY of Granville Mills, P.E.I. Of this union there are two sons, A.K. McCULLY of Truro, and Roy McCULLY of Debert. He is survived by his second wife, who was Christine MURRAY of Balmoral Mills, also two daughters, Jennie, Mrs. Murray MINGO of Tatamagouche, Mary, Mrs. Peter HYNDS, of R.R. No. 1 Tatamagouche, and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral was held from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Murray MINGO, Tatamagouche at 1.30 p.m., Wednesday December 22 and was conducted by the Rev. Mr. SPROULE of the Presbyterian Church assisted by Rev. Richard STUART of the United Church. The many beautiful flowers and the large concourse of people who had come from different parts of Colchester and Pictou counties, to pay their last respects to one who they had known so well for so long, testified to the esteem in which Mr. McCULLY was held. The remains were laid to rest in the Earltown cemetery. The pall bearers were Douglas MURRAY, Hugh MURRAY, Rex MINGO and Russell MacKAY.
