UNKNOWN PAPER - APRIL 1969 WILLIAM D. GRANT - The death of William D. GRANT occurred at the Sutherland - Harris Memorial Hospital on Sunday, April 27, 1969, at the age of 85. Born in Three Brooks, Pictou Co., he was a son of the late Donald and Isabel (MacKENZIE) GRANT and has served for a number of years as a County Councillor. He was a senior elder of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, member of the Eastern Star Lodge, No. 1, IOOF, and the Stewart Encampment. Surviving are four daughters, Mary (Mrs. Robert WATT), Pictou; Jean (Mrs. A.A. MATHESON), North Syndey; Muriel (Mrs. D.A. MILLER), St. Margarets, N.B.; and Iris (Mrs. Alan SOLIE), Montreal. The funeral service was held on Tuesday afternoon from St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, with the minister, Rev. D. Laurence MAWHINNEY officiating, assisted by Rev. John ROBERTS of Pictou United. Interment took place in Central Caribou Cemetery.
