UNKNOWN PAPER - FEBRUARY 1977 JAMES J. SUTHERLAND, 75, of The Falls, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, at home. Born at The Falls, he was the son of the late James and Christine (BAILEY) SUTHERLAND. He was a life-long resident of The FALLS and was a farmer and employee of Bonnyman and Byers until his retirement. He was an elder of the Presbyterian Church, The Falls. He is survived by his wife, the former Ola LANGILLE, three daughters, Lita (Mrs. Robbie FERGUSON), The Falls; Mabel (Mrs. Carl BECK), Balfron, and Phyllis (Mrs. Keith YATES) Kamloops, B.C.; two sons: Wilbert, Toronto; and Ivan of Montreal; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by one brother, Daniel, one half brother, William, and one half sister, Jessie. Funeral service was held at The Falls Presbyterian Church on Saturday afternoon with the Rev. Gordon MATHESON officiating. "Amazing Grace" was sung by the choir. Jack COULTER rendered "Good Night and Good Morning." Pallbearers were Reg. TERRY, Don SUTHERLAND, Mac BAILEY, Ernest SUTHERLAND, Lloyd LANGILLE and Leonard MURRAY. Burial was in The Falls Cemetery.
