UNKNOWN PAPER - 12 FEBRUARY 1977 WAYNE NEWSON - Dies in Farm Accident. Wallace Station - many relatives and friends were shocked and saddened when it was learned that Wendell Wayne NEWSON, 36, of Wallace Station has died as the result of a farm accident. His body was found Sunday morning along side his tractor. An autopsy was performed on Monday, which revealed that Mr. NEWSON had died accidentally of internal injuries. He had apparently been loading bales of hay from an outdoor haystack when the accident occurred. Born in Springhill he was the sons of Mabrey and Grace (PATTERSON) NEWSON of Pugwash River. He was a farmer and was a dealer in grain, feed and fertilizer. He was a member of the Pugwash River United Church. Surviving besides his parents are his wife, the former Mable FERGUSON, of The Falls; a son, Robbie and an infant daughter, Wendy, both at home; a sister, Glenda (Mrs. James KENT), Lower Truro; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., and private family funeral service on Wednesday at 2 p.m., Rev. Gordon MATHESON officiating, assisted by Rev. Peter MacDONALD. Burial was in Thomson Cemetery.
