OBIT # 5232 - EASTERN CHRONICLE - APRIL 1939 ISAAC A. GRANT - Miss Katie Mitchell received word on Saturday, April 1, of the death of her uncle, ISSAC A. GRANT, in St. Paul, Minn., in his 94th year, following a long illness. Many years ago he was a well known business man in Pictou and moved to St. Paul while still a young man. There he went into business as a successful grain and feed merchant and was a director of the Drover State Bank. He was the son of the late GEORGE and CATHERINE MATHESON GRANT of Scotch Hill and was the last survivor of a large family. The late Rev. KENNETH J. GRANT of Halifax, for many years the well known missionary of Trinidad, was a brother of the deceased. The late Mrs. Grant, formerly ANNA ROSS of Pictou, sister of the late JOHN U. ROSS, predeceased him several years ago. The late Mr. Grant conducted a large dry good store in Pictou, situated, we think, in a building on Water Street, opposite Market Square.
