Mrs. Bessie Burns 1941 Bridgewater Bulletin There passed away at her home early on Thursday evening, March 20th., a highly respected citizen in the person of Mrs. Bessie Burns, at the age of 50 years. Her husband, the late Bligh Burns, predeceased her a number years ago. Although in ill health for some months, death came as a shock to the whole community. Being of a kind and quiet disposition, she will be greatly missed in her home circles. Surviivng in the immediate family are four sons and two daughters: Harland and Lawrence, at home; Pte. Garnett Burns, Kingston, Ontario; Pte. John Burns,England; Miss Mona, Ottawa; and Miss Freelove, Halifax. The funeral took place on Monday morning at the United Church, conducted by Rev. W.H. Palmer. Interment was in the Indian Brook Cemetery. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved family.
