Douglas James Adams 1992 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Monday, March 16, 1992. Douglas James Adams, 53, Dartmouth, died Saturday in Victoria General Hospital. Born at Dublin Shore, he was a son of Laurie and Hilda (Zinck) Adams, Dartmouth. He was a former manager of Micmac Lodge for 22 years and a member of Atlantic Beagle Kennel Club. He is survived by his wife, the former Geraldine LaPierre; two daughters, Dawn Marie, Halifax; Shelley Lee, Dartmouth; two sisters, Janette (Mrs. Murray Collings), Mavia (Mrs. David Beaulieu), both of Dartmouht; a brother, Lee, Dartmouth; a granddaughter. He was predeceased by a brother in infancy. The body is in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, Dartmouth, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, where funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. MacArthur officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
