    3. UNKNOWN PAPER - 13 SEPTEMBER 1943 MRS. JOHN A. BAILLIE - Many friends will learn with regret of the sudden passing of Mrs. John A. BAILLIE at her home of East Earltown on Sunday evening, Sept. 5. She was enjoying her usual health until Sunday afternoon when she complained of not feeling well and in the evening passed peacefully away to her eternal home. Mrs. BAILLIE was the former Leta SUTHERLAND and was born at Earltown 71 years ago the daughter of the late Donald M. SUTHERLAND and Mary MacKAY SUTHERLAND. She was a devoted member of the Earltown Presbyterian Church and a faithful member of the choir. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her for her kind and cheerful disposition. She is survived by her sorrowing husband four half brothers, Robert SUTHERLAND of Winnipeg, James SUTHERLAND of Roxbury, Mass., U.S.A., John J. and Hugh SUTHERLAND of Earltown. A short service was held at the home at 1 p.m. Wednesday, followed by a Church at 2 p.m. conducted by her pastor Rev. McWILLIAMS assisted by Rev. Mr. DAVIES, of Tatamagouche United Church. The hymns sung were "The Lord's My Shepherd", "Peace Perfect Peace" and "Abide With Me." Pall bearers were Douglas MURRAY, Russel MacKAY, Kenneth SUTHERLAND, Sutherland BAILLIE, George BAILLIE and Alexander MacKENZIE. Burial was at the Earltown Village Cemetery. The many beautiful flowers were a silent token of the esteem in which the deceased was held.
