Wagner, 85, Marshalltown, Digby County, died January 11, 2000, in Digby General Hospital. Born at North Range, Digby County, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Emily (Foster) Height. She was a longtime member of the Digby Baptist Church. She maintained her sense of humour and love of tatting until the very end. She was a proprietor of a grocery store in Marshalltown and Smith's Cove for several years. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are her husband, Nevins; daughter, Lois Sparkes, Liverpool; sons, Orville "Ted", Toronto; Clarence, Marshalltown; Norman, Yarmouth; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m., Thursday in Jayne's Funeral Home, Digby. Funeral 2 p.m. Friday in Hillgrove United Baptist Church, Rev. Ed Shaw officiating. Burial in Hillgrove Baptist Cemetery. Donations to the Hillgrove United Baptist Church, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or any charity.
