Joseph R. Sapp Halifax Chronicle Herald Joseph R. Sapp, 75, of Bristol Avenue, Liverpool, died Wednesday in the Halifax Infirmary. Born at Yarmouth, he was a son of the late Raymond and Rose (Joseph) Sapp. In 1932, Mr. Sapp, his father and brother, John, established a soft drink bottling plant, Astoria Beverages, in Liverpool. He retired in 1971 as president of the company. He was a member of St. Gregory's Church. Surviving are four sons, Captain Raymond Sapp, CFB Borden, Ontario; Dr. Phillip Sapp, London, Ontario; James, Liverpool; Dr. John, Halifax; one brother, John, Liverpool; four sisters, Mamie (Mrs. Abram Saab), Halifax; Josie (Mrs. Frank Emin), Julia (Mrs. Harry Shedic), and Martha (Mrs. Fred Emin), all of Yarmouth; and 13 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Lillian M. Maroun and a brother, Donald. The body is at Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Gregory's Church, Liverpool, Rev. Owen Connolly officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Gregory's Church or the Nova Scotia Heart Fund.
