Maurice Wagner Norman 2000 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Monday, January 24, 2000. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Maurice Wagner Norman, 67, Halifax, passed away January 22, 2000 in the VG Site, QEII. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Warren W. and Rita (Moore) Norman. He was employed with Chappell's Battery and Electric Limited for 30 years. He was a member of St. James Anglican Church, Armdale, where he served as envelope secretary for several years and also acted as a reader and server. He was a member and past president of the church social club. He was a member and past master of St. John's No. 2 AF & AM. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite (32 degree). He was particularly fond of spending time at the family home in West LaHave. He is survived by his wife, the former Shirley Frank; son, Tony, Lower West Jeddore; stepmother, Celia Norman, Bridgewater; sisters, Helen Norman, Dundas, Ontario; Marilla and husband Ralph Faulkner, Nine Mile River; Sherry and husband Ronald Haynes, Toronto; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by son, Geoffrey. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, in St. James Anglican Church, Armdale (at the rotary), Archdeacon Rod Gillis and Canon Ronald Harris officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, West LaHave, at a later date. Family flowers only. Memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
