Olive Huskins, 71, Port Mouton, Queens County, died peacefully on Sunday, January 23, 2000, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool. Born at Port Mouton, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Mary (Gray) Colp. She was a former employee of K. and W. Bookbinding, Liverpool and C.W. McLeod Fisheries, Port Mouton. She was an avid bingo player. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Horne; her son Wayne and his wife Deborah, Halifax; her daughters, Lucy and her husband Patrick Burgess, Port Joli; and Dawn and her husband Greg Townsend, Bridgewater; her beloved grandchildren, Glen Burgess, Hunt's Point; Beth Burgess, Charlottetown; Adam Burgess, Halifax; Josh and Emily Townsend, Bridgewater; her sister, Marie Woodworth, Chelsea; and her brother, Frank, Port Mouton; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Marguerite and her brothers, Robert, Isaac, and Gerald. A private family burial will be held at a later date. No flowers by request of the fmaily. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Nova Scotia Branch.
