OBIT # 5255 - EVENING NEWS - 28 MARCH 1939 The death of JAMES W. MacINTOSH , of Marsh Street, New Glasgow, removes one who filled a very useful place in the life of this county. He was for years a coal mine manager and a very efficient one. He always held the highest respect of those for whom he operated and the general public. In every walk of life he was very much regarded as a citizen and man of sterling integrity and worth and as a genial and courteous gentleman. His friends were many and his passing will recall kindly memories of the fine manner of man that he was. Of late years his health had not been good and during his trying illness he was lovingly cared for by his faithful daughter, MRS. SPROSEN. The late Mr. MacIntosh was prominent in local Masonic circles and a great favourite of the members of that fraternity. (Some missing)
