Shirley Kathleen Keddy 2000 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Gwen Christie Shirley Kathleen Keddy, 67, Hebb's Cross, died January 14, 2000, at home. Born at Conquerall Mills, she was a daughter of the late Malcolm and Ida (Veinot) Baker. She was a life member of Branch 24 of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary and also a life member of the Hebb's Cross Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was an active member in the Calvary Lutheran Church, Middlewood. She was a very giving person in her community. Surviving are her husband, Burton; son, Blair, Petite Riviere; three grandchildren; sisters, Arlean Nowe, Lake Centre; Marion Getson, Springfield; brother, Garfield Baker, Newcombville; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Charles, Herbert; sister, Lillian "Jippie." No visitation in the funeral home by request. A grave side service 11 a.m. Monday in Calvary Lutheran Cemetery, Middlewood, Rev. David Whynot officiating. A reception to follow service. No flowers by request. Donations to Calvary Lutheran Church or any charity. Arrangements entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater.
