OBIT # 5164 - EASTERN CHRONICLE, NEW GLASGOW,NS-THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 1948: With shocking suddenness to family and friends, the death of one of Pictou County's most respected men, FRASER SINCLAIR, occured at his home in New Glasgow early on Tuesday morning. Genuinely liked was Fraser Sinclair, a thorough gentleman and a good friend of many. He was foreman of the Forge Department of the Maritime Steel and Foundries Ltd., and his great spare time interest was Oddfellowship. He had passed through the chair of Norton Lodge,Number Six, I.O.O.F.., and for many years was one of the Lodges most loyal and valued members. Mr.Sinclair was a son of the late Mr.and Mrs.DAVID SINCLAIR of Chance Harbour. A brother ERNEST resides at the old home on Sinclair's Island. Two sisters live in New Glasgow, Mrs.GEORGINA MacKENZIE and Miss MARGARET SINCLAIR; and a brother DAN at Pictou Landing. In the immediate family his wife survives, a son, LAWRENCE, and two daughters, KATHERINE, Mrs.TOM FANCEY, Glenfalloch, and MARGUERITE, Mrs.ARTHUR CAMERON, Trenton.
