Born at Brookville, Hants County, he was a son of the late William and Hannah (O'Brien) Lake. Surviving are stepsons, Alpheus Atkinson, Shelburne; Bernard Atkinson, Brampton, Ontario; sister, Greta Pierce, Jordan Ferry; four grandchildren; niece, Ruth Ann. He was predeceased by his wife. Lahlia (Atkinson); brother, Albert; two sisters in infancy; grandson, Duane. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday, both in H.M. Huskilson's Funeral Home, Shelburne, Gordon Hazelwood and James Abbott officiating. Burial in Old Kirk Cemetery, North East Point. In lieu of flowers, donations to VON Homecare.
