LaVerne L. Zinck 2002 Halifax Chronicle Herald LaVerne L. Zinck, 76, East Chester, died August 3, 2002, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born at Simpson's Corner, she was a daughter of the late John A. and Samantha (Ernst) Lowe. She was a member of St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Chester. LaVerne worked at a hair salon in Chester with her sister, Mildred, for many years and was an avid card player. Surviving are her husband, Clyde M.; son, Clyde Jr., Kelowna, B.C.; sisters, Mildred Mader, Chester; Eileen Snyder, New Minas; grandson, Wade (Selina), Chester Grant; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Matthew; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son, Cedric; sisters, Linda, Ina, Goldie, Alvina; brothers, Elwin, Fred, Lawton, Murray, Glen, and Carmen in infancy. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service as per her request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Stephen's Anglican Church Memorial Fund or Shoreham Village Home for Special Care, Chester. Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Home, Chester.
