Mrs. William Nowe May, 1943. Very suddenly at First South, there passed away one of its estimable citizens in the person of Mrs. William Nowe, aged 59 years, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eli Dares of First South. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Fred, Spurgeon, and Douglas; one daughter, Vivian Mrs. R. Knickle; also one brother, Urban Dares; two sisters, Mrs. Guy Mullock and Mrs. Morris Zinck and five grandchildren. The funeral was held from her residence, thence to Grace Lutheran Church, of which she was a faithful member where the service was conducted by her pastor, Rev. L.G. Bald. Interment was in First South Cemetery.
